Rubber prices maintain steady trend

SPOT rubber prices maintained a steady trend on Tuesday. Major buyers kept off waiting for enhanced arrivals as the tapping is reported to be in full swing.

In the futures market. September ruled at Rs 55.41 (Rs 54.70) a kg, October at Rs 53.28 (Rs 53.19), November at Rs 52.50 (Rs 52.67) and December at Rs 52.35 (Rs 52.48) per kg.

Spot market rates per kg were: RSS 4 Rs 53.50 (Rs 53.50); RSS 5 Rs 51.50 (Rs 51.50); ungraded Rs 49.00 (Rs 49.00); ISNR 20 Rs 49.50 (Rs 49.50); and latex 60% Rs 37.50 (Rs 37.50).
