Lodha removed as Mangalam Timber auditor

Prafulla Das

Bhubaneswar , Sept. 8

MANGALAM Timber, a B.K. Birla Group company, today removed Lodha & Co as its auditors.

At the annual general body meeting of Mangalam Timber held at Kusumi village in Nawrangpur district of Orissa, the shareholders decided to engage S.K. Daga & Co as their auditor in place of Lodha & Co, who had been the company's auditors since 1987.

The Managing Director of Mangalam Timber, Mr G.G. Gupta, and many senior executives of the company were present at the meeting. However, none of the Birlas were present.

Lodha & Co belongs to Mr R.S. Lodha, one of the leading Chartered Accountants, who has been in the thick of the controversy over the will drawn by the late Priyamvada Birla of the M.P. Birla Group.
