BANGALORE: The High Commissioner designate of New Zealand, Mr Graeme Waters, visited the Electronics Division of Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd on Tuesday.

Mr A. Bhattacharya, ED, took him around the facilities of its power plant automation systems, solar photovoltaic cells and solar photovoltaic modules, according to a release from BHEL. He said BHEL had established total capabilities to set up modern power plants, supply solar power systems and training simulators for defence applications and was looking forward to strengthening its association with New Zealand. Mr Waters hoped that both countries would come closer in the days ahead.

BHEL has set up a hydro-power project in that country on turnkey basis and has supplied advanced simulator systems for training its defence and para-military forces.
