Kerala Electricity Employees' union welcomes Minister's stand

Our Bureau

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Kerala Electricity Employees' Confederation (KEEC) has welcomed the Electricity Minister, Mr Aryadan Mohammed's reiteration of the policy stance that the public utility, the Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB), would be retained as a single entity and not turned into different profit centres.

In a statement issued here, Mr Sajeev Janardhanan, Assistant General Secretary of KEEC, said the proposal to turn KSEB into three profit centres was first mooted in the power policy announced by the previous LDF Government in 1998.
