SEBI bars Shah from markets for 2 years

Mumbai , Sept. 19

SEBI has prohibited Mr D.K. Shah from buying, selling or dealing in securities for a period of two years, effective from September 15.

SEBI had conducted investigations into the alleged irregularities in the public issue of Infoquest Software Exports Ltd and found that Mr Shah violated the regulation of SEBI dealing with fraudulent and unfair trade practices relating to the securities market.

In another order passed by the market regulator, Mr Farookh Parvi, Ms Sangeeta Shah, Ms Darshana Shah, Mr Tejas Shah, Mr Sanjay Balkiwal, Ms Nazneen Ravji, Ms Delnaz Ravji and Ms Shirin Ravji have been prohibited from buying, selling or dealing in securities for a period of 18 months, effective from September 15.
