PortWise plans global support centre in India

PORTWISE AB, a Swedish security solutions provider, is eyeing the growing Asia Pacific regionto tap the security market projected to touch about $ 1 billion by 2005.

The company is actively engaged in growing the Indian market which is set for boom times given the addition of about 1.5 million phones a month.

Having chosen local business partners, it is in the process of firming up plans for setting up a global support-cum-solutions centre in the country to reach out its SSL VPN (secure socket layer virtual private network) solutions, said the President of Strategic Development and Co-Founder of PortWise AB, Mr Kaushik Thakkar.

India contributes 10 per cent-15 per cent of revenues from Asia which, in turn, contributes 5 per cent to PortWise turnover.
