Tomato being piled up at a market in suburban Kochi. A bumper crop has pushed the prices of tomato down to Rs 5 to 7 per kg. Favourable weather conditions in the growing areas in Tamil Nadu have led to a good crop and it is being brought to Kerala markets in large quantities.
