New server from Nortel

BANGALORE: Nortel Networks has introduced the multimedia communications server MCS 5100, a network-based application delivery solution that the company says will seamlessly integrate voice, data and video services.

The product will enable enterprises to extend networks easily and cost effectively to remote workers. The MCS 5100 provides tools for collaboration of mobility and personalised application development and can be deployed with Nortel Networks telephony systems or with systems from other vendors.
