Outlook AP Paper Mills to adopt new tech for high-grade product Our Bureau
Hyderabad , Sept. 26 ANDHRA Pradesh Paper Mills Ltd would install a new technology for production of high-grade publishing paper as part of the company's Rs 630-crore, on-going expansion-cum-modernisation plan that would be completed by March 2007. According to the Executive Director, Mr R.C. Mall, the installed capacity of the company will increase from the existing 1.53 lakh tonnes per annum to 1.93 lakh tpa following the completion of the expansion programme. Andhra Paper on Saturday launched an "anti-fading" New Andhra Millennium Copier paper, which the company wants to use as its unique selling proposition. The paper would be sold in the market from Monday. Mr Mall told newspersons that the simulation trials conducted by the company indicated that the newly launched paper would not fade even after 50 years. He said that the consumption of paper in the country was growing at a rate of 5 per cent per annum against around 2.5 per cent in the developed country.
