Finacle achieves new benchmark

Bangalore , Sept. 28

INFOSYS Technologies Ltd said on Tuesday that its universal core banking solution, Finacle, has achieved the highest scalability that is transactions throughput per second (TPS) of 11,180 in online mode and 19,568 TPS for batch mode.

With this, Finacle has bettered its own previous record of 7,357 TPS for online transactions and outperformed the industry's standards, said Mr Girish G. Vaidya, Senior Vice-President and Business Head-Finacle, Infosys Technologies.

Ernst & Young has reviewed the new benchmark test, Mr Vaidya said.

Finacle achieved the feat on HP Superdome servers powered by Intel's Itanuim 2 processors running Oracle 9.i, Mr Vaidya said.
