SBT hikes NRE deposit rates

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: State Bank of Travancore (SBT) has hiked the interest rates for NRE savings bank and term deposits with effect from October 1.

According to a statement from the bank, the savings bank interest rate has been revised from 1.90 per cent to 2.20 per cent. The revised rate for NRE tern deposits of one year to less than two years is 2.40 per cent, for two years to less than three years is three per cent and for three years and up to five years is 3.30 per cent.
