Ratan Tata made honorary citizen

MUMBAI: Mr Ratan Tata, Chairman, Tata Motors, was made the honorary citizen of North Jeolle Province in South Korea by Mr Kang Hyon-Wook Governor of Jeollabuk-do Provincial Government.

The Tata Daewoo Commercial Vehicle Company's manufacturing facility is located in this province.

Mr Ravi Kant, Chairman, Tata Daewoo, has also been made honorary citizen of this province.

The awarding of the honorary citizenship of North Jeolla Province is in recognition of the goodwill developed by the Tata group within the local community, a press release said.
