Software 'Japan offers million-dollar prospects' Our Bureau
Bangalore , Oct 19
While the QCD (quality, cost and delivery) model helps, Indian companies also need to invest substantially to understand the nuances of doing business in Japan. One of the first discoveries i-flex Solutions made was to "realise that there is no concept of a 24/7 customer service in the banking industry by way of ATMs since the legacy systems in place could not architect such a solution. We also learnt that customers expected to have a Japanese interface, so it is essential for Indian companies to double-byte enable the software and change the customer interface to Kanji," Mr N.R.K. Raman, COO, i-flex Solutions said. He was addressing the `Succeeding in Japan' business workshop organised by the India Japan Initiative here on Tuesdayy. Interestingly, Shinse Bank is one of i-flex's long-standing customers.
