Pentamedia Graphics to now animate Gulliver's Travels

HAVING completed The Legend of Buddha, a 2D animated film depicting the life of Buddha, Pentamedia Graphics is producing Gulliver's Travels in 3D animation.

The project cost of Gulliver's Travels would be around $5 million and will be completed in the middle of next year, Ms Sumathi Sridharan, Vice-President, Pentamedia, told newspersons.

Produced by Pentamedia and co-produced by the Economic Board of Singapore, the total cost of The Legend of Buddha was $6.5 million. Around 2.5 lakh drawings (two-dimensional graphics use manual drawings and computers) were used in the film, she said.

The pre-production of the 90-minute film, which includes character design, layouts and storyboards, was handled in India, and the post-production was done in Singapore and India.
