Blue Star posts higher net profit

MUMBAI: Blue Star has recorded a net profit of Rs 8.75 crore (Rs 5.56 crore) for the second quarter ended September 30, 2004, representing a growth of 57 per cent over the corresponding previous period.

Total income during the quarter grew by 27 per cent to Rs 209 crore (Rs 164 crore), while the earnings per share increased to Rs 4.86 from Rs 3.09.

The net profit for the first-half ended September 30 grew 50 per cent to Rs 12.36 crore (Rs 8.22 crore), while total income for the first-half grew 26 per cent to Rs 387 crore.
