THE Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the appointment of Mr K.K. Jaswal, a 1968 batch IAS officer from the UP cadre, as Member Secretary in the National Commission on Infrastructure in the unorganised and informal sector with effect from November 1.

An official release said that Mr Jaswal would be the Member Secretary for the life of the commission or until further orders.

The Committee has relaxed the ban on re-employment of retired officers and approved this appointment.
