Shekhar Dasgupta quitting Oracle

THE Managing Director of Oracle India Pvt Ltd, Mr Shekhar Dasgupta who has been with the company for over twelve years now, will be leaving the company at the end of May next year, said a statement from the company.

The announcement was issued by Oracle India on Tuesday, the first day of the high-profile two-day Oracle Openworld Mumbai 2004 summit in the city.

The appointment of a new Managing Director for Oracle India will be announced in due course, said the release.

Mr Dasgupta is entering a career in academia.
