Airlines Qatar Airlines increases flights to India Our Bureau
Mumbai , Nov. 7 MAKING use of the open sky policy, Qatar Airlines has increased its frequencies to 51 flights a week from 19 earlier. Under the temporary operating permits (TOPs) it has received, the airline has increased the number of flights from Mumbai to 13 flights a week from six earlier. Similarly, it operates 13 flights a week from Thiruvananthpuram as against the earlier daily service. From Kochi, the airline operates 13 weekly flights as against 10 , and from Hyderabad 12, from three earlier. According to the Regional Manager, South Asia, Mr D. Goonetilleke, the airline will further expand its global network by opening services to Beijing, London, the Seychelles, Yangon, and Johannesburg and Cape Town over the next two months. Meanwhile, to improve its reach within the country, Qatar Airlines has opened an office in Tiruvalla in Kerala, which is expected to cater to the local demand for travel to the Gulf, the UK, and the US.
