Our Bureau

Mumbai , Nov. 8

A PACKAGE to revive the 2,184-MW Dabhol power project is likely by the end of this calendar year, according to Mr M. Damodaran, Chairman, IDBI Ltd, the lead lender to the project.

Mr Damodaran told newspersons here that all the stakeholders are meeting the Cabinet Secretary in a couple of days, where some final positions will likely emerge.

"A meeting is scheduled soon and though we may not see a final package, we may be able to crystallise something to place before the Empowered Group of Ministers that would take a final decision on who should do what," he said.
