THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: State Bank of Travancore (SBT) has opened `pilgrim banking centres' at Sannidhanam and Pampa in the hill shrine of Sabarimala.

An official spokesman said here that the bank would also set up an ATM counter at Pampa for ATM/credit cardholders of the State Bank Group of banks, UTI Bank, HDFC Bank, Andhra Bank and Indian Bank. MasterCard and Visa Card holders too can withdraw money from this ATM.

Customers can encash demand drafts drawn on SBT's Pathanamthitta branch by any branch of the State Bank Group at the pilgrim centres. These centres will also issue demand drafts to branches of the State Bank Group of banks. Phone, fax and e-mail facilities are available at these centres.

More details can be had on telephone numbers 04735-203006/203007 (Pampa) and 04735-202876/202793 (Sannidhanam) or e-mail pampa@sbt.co.in.
