Quizmaster to launch school programme in Thiruvananthapuram

Thiruvananthapuram , Dec. 19

NOTED quizmaster, Mr Giri Pickbrain Balasubramaniam, is to launch a general knowledge service, namely, Global Awareness Programme (GAP), for schools in Thiruvananthapuram.

The programme aims to create a common, structured and defined approach to global awareness that would help teachers bridge the gap between the outside world and the student, according to the quizmaster.

While GAP would provide continuous monthly updates to the schools, it also aims at dispelling the misconception that general knowledge and global awareness are required for only those who attend the quiz shows, he said.

Besides the monthly updates to the schools, there would be a certification examination at the end of the year and a global awareness book given to each participant.

The concept was launched in Bangalore in 2003 and the programme currently has close to 15,000 students across Bangalore and Hyderabad.

Quizmaster Pickbrain is no stranger to the schools in Thiruvananthapuram as he has been involved in quiz programmes in Kerala in association with Tata Consultancy Services since 2000.
