Private Banks NCR inks pact to manage HDFC Bank ATMs Our Bureau
Mumbai , Dec. 21 NCR Corporation, an ATM provider to banks, has tied up with HDFC Bank to manage its ATMs. HDFC Bank has over 1,000 ATMs across the country, each of which average around 310 transactions a day, said a release. "By appointing NCR to manage our ATM sites, we will be able to focus on direct customer services and sales. NCR, on behalf of the bank, will monitor and follow up with all vendors concerned to ensure that they adhere to the agreed turnaround times, leading to a better customer experience," said the release, quoting Mr Neeraj Swaroop, Country Head (Retail Banking). As per the agreement, NCR will provide HDFC Bank with a total suite of services, including ATM monitoring and management, consumables and cash replenishment and cash optimisation services. The services will leverage NCR's application called `Gasper Vantage', an ATM management tool, at its management centre in Mumbai, the only one of its kind in India. NCR will also provide for electronic-journal pulling and software distribution across the bank's ATMs, allowing it to send out customer messages remotely to specifically selected ATMs. With this, the bank will be able to remotely monitor the ATMs across the country, while simultaneously using the services of NCR personnel over 800 Indian locations.
