Our Bureau

Hyderabad , Dec. 28

BEYOND Boundaries, a civil society initiative promoting peace in India and Pakistan, is organising a unique cricket match between children from both countries and seasoned cricket players on Wednesday.

The match would be held at the Lal Bahadur Stadium where international cricket matches are held.

Test veterans such as Venkatapathy Raju and Shivlal Yadav and upcoming player Ambati Rayudu would play in the elders' team. Popular Telugu actor Chiranjeevi is likely to be part of the team.

The proceeds of the match would go to the victims of tsunami that had hit the coastline in India and Sri Lanka.

Speaking to newspersons on Tuesday, Mr Manoj Kumar, CEO of Naandi Foundation, said that corporates have been asked to contribute to the cause.

Badminton star Pullela Gopichand and tennis player Sania Mirza too would participate.
