Bangalore , Jan. 17

SOUTH India, which has been projected to give a buoyant growth to its business, the Delhi-based Indo Asian Fusegear Ltd is eying acquisition in the region to service the market.

Though no serious bid has been made, the company has been scouting for a presence eying some companies in and around Bangalore, said Mr V.P. Mahendru, Chairman and Managing Director.

"South India is a key market for us and currently contributes 30 per cent of our annual sales of about Rs 120 crore. With the current level of electric consumption in the region set to increase by 100 per cent we see a lot of potential for growth," said Mr Mahendru at a press conference here on Monday. Indo Asian also plans to increase its sales network from 64 distributors reaching out from 2,200 outlets to 4,500 outlets in the region.
