Apollo Hospitals Q3 net rises 11 pc

CHENNAI: Apollo Hospitals Enterprises Ltd has reported a net profit of Rs 11.1 crore for the third quarter of the current financial year, which is 11 per cent more than the company achieved in the corresponding period of last year.

Turnover for the quarter was Rs 149.2 crore (Rs 126 crore).

In the first nine months of the current year, the company's net profit increased to Rs 36.8 crore (Rs 28.3 crore). Turnover increased to Rs 431.4 crore (Rs 362.90 crore).

Earnings per share (unannualised) works out to Rs 9.15 for the nine-month period, compared with Rs 7.15 in the same period last year.

Various costs as a percentage of turnover have gone up marginally during the three-quarter period. Material consumption increased by one percentage point to 49 per cent of turnover. Staff costs increased to 13.33 per cent from 12.9 per cent. `General administrative expenses' also rose to 11.9 per cent from 10.6 per cent.
