Deccan Chronicle Holdings Q3 net rises 97 pc

HYDERABAD: Deccan Chronicle Holdings Ltd the city-based publishers of Deccan Chronicle English daily newspaper, has announced a growth of 44.3 per cent in net sales and 97.1 per cent in net profit for the third quarter of current fiscal ended December 2004.

In a press release here on Wednesday, the company said it has recorded net sales of Rs 45.78 crore compared with Rs 31.73 crore in the corresponding quarter of previous fiscal and a net profit of Rs 11.25 crore (Rs 5.7 crore).

For the nine months period, the company posted net sales of Rs 118.5 crore, a growth of 39.26 per cent, and a net profit of Rs 26.61 crore, an increase of 94.17 per cent.
