Jagran to launch news channel in March

Our Bureau

New Delhi , Feb. 1

THE Jagran Group has named its news channel as Channel 7.

The company has already received uplinking license from the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.

The channel is being distributed by Jagran TV and will be beamed from INSAT II E. The new name is being suggested as the group believes that both the products have different identities and have different brand properties.

According to Mr Siddhartha Gupta, Director, Channel 7 will be a 24-hour free-to-air news channel in Hindi and is getting ready for launch in March.
