Dr Reddy's releases sustainability report

DR Reddy's Laboratories Ltd announced here on Wednesday that it hasreleased its first `Sustainability Report' for the financial year 2003-04, which details the economic, environmental and social dimension of the company.

In a press release, the company said the sustainability report was a voluntary initiative and part of its continuing efforts to establish global benchmarks in corporate governance. Last year, the company had published its first Safety, Health and Environment report.

Commenting on the report, the Chief Executive Officer, Mr G.V. Prasad, said, "The publication of this report is a reflection of our commitment to voluntary, as opposed to mandatory, corporate transparency."
