An evening scene from Puthankadapuram at Chavakad in Thrissur district. The waters that once teemed with a variety of fish have now become unproductive for the fisherfolk. Deep sea does offer abundant fish supply but most of the fishermen do not have access to modern equipment to venture into deep-sea fishing and the catch remains scanty.
