General Insurance Rajahmundry civic insurance Our Bureau
RAJAHMUNDRY: The Rajahmundry Municipal Corporation (RMC) has entered into an agreement with the United India Insurance to provide insurance cover to its citizens. According to Dr T.S.R. Anjaneyulu, Municipal Commissioner, the corporation is paying Rs 10.5 lakh to the insurance company per annum, with a premium of Rs 3.50 for each citizen. Citizens in the age group of 5-70 will be eligible for the scheme. The next of kin would be paid compensation of Rs 5,000 to10,000 in the event of accidental death or disability. The scheme takes effect on Tuesday.
