SMAK office-bearers

KOCHI: Mr S.S. Agarwal, Managing Director of Premium Ferro Alloys Ltd, Kochi, and Mr K. Pankajakshan, Managing Director of AP Steels Re-rolling Mill Ltd, Palakkad, have been elected as the President and Secretary, respectively, of the Steel Manufacturers Association of Kerala (SMAK).

The other office bearers are Mr Abdul Gafoor of the Kalliyath group of companies, Shaffi of Minar Steels Alloys and Forging Pvt Ltd (as Vice-Presidents), Mr Murali of Libra Steels Pvt Ltd and Mr Kurian of Met-Rolla Steel (as Joint Secretaries), and Mr Shahabudheen of the Surabhi group as the Treasurer.

The association represents about 65 steel manufacturing units in the State and the industry employs more than 15,000 people directly and indirectly. SMAK is affiliated to the All India Induction Furnaces Association.
