Chandy inaugurates training programme for NEC engineers

THE Chief Minister, Mr Oommen Chandy, today inaugurated the training programme being conducted by the city-based Arackal Digital Solutions Pvt Ltd for engineers of NEC Corporation Japan.

The Chief Minster said on the occasion that it was a matter of pride for Kerala that a global IT major such as NEC has chosen the State as its training destination.

This development is proof of the quality of infrastructure, excellent environment and skills Kerala has to offer, he added.

The Chief Minister also expressed the hope that the training programme is the beginning of a lasting relationship between NEC and Kerala.

According to officials of Arackal Digital Solutions Pvt Ltd, the training programme has been designed to meet the requirements of entry-level Japanese engineers who are beginning their career with NEC.

Thirty engineers from NEC are taking part in the one-month course, which will provide the participants with training in the latest IT skills, and also improve their problem solving abilities and `global communication skills', said a company official.
