Cellular operators are a happy lot with the number of mobile phone subscribers touching nearly two million in Kerala. According to the Cellular Operators' Association, the average mobile phone connection per day in the State is 2,450. This is a big leap from 277 in 2001. That year, there were just 3.48 lakh cellular subscribers in the State.
