VIJAY Textiles Ltd has informed stock exchanges on Tuesday that the company has taken a space of about 12,000 sq.ft. on a long lease of 25 years for setting up its retail showroom at Ameerpet here, which will be operational by August 2005.

The cost to be incurred by the company for setting up the retail facility will be in the range of Rs 10 crore to Rs 12 crore. The showroom will house 20,000 in-house designs.

Stating that this is a significant step towards setting up nationwide retail chain for home furnishings, the company said that the subsequent mega stores are planned in Delhi, Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam.
