Tally launches VAT software

FINANCIAL accounting software company Tally Solutions on Thursday launched a Value Added Tax (VAT) complaint business accounting solution - Tally 7.2 - as the country gears up for VAT regime from April 1.

Aimed at the over eight million establishments in the small and medium Enterprises segment, the solution is positioned as the strong accounting software tool for corporates encompassing VAT compliance amongst a host of other features, a company release said here.

"VAT is simple and is aimed at transparency, but the changeover to VAT is a challenge, requiring a clear understanding of rules and compliance norms by the business community and more importantly the trading community. Tally Solutions has driven over 75 per cent of all VAT-related education in India via seminars over the last two months and we have committed to conduct over 1,500 customer event to demystify VAT in the coming weeks," the release added.

Our Mumbai Bureau reports: Tally 7.2 is priced at Rs 4,950 for a single-user license and Rs 13,500 for a multi-user license. Tally 7.2 will be available to customers through an extensive channel network of over 25,000 resellers in the country.
