Software Wipro Infotech to offer Linux service thru Red Hat tie-up Our Bureau
Bangalore , March 7 WIPRO Infotech on Monday announced a tie-up with Red Hat to offer Linux services in India. Through this tie-up, the company plans to offer cost-efficient, reliable, secure and scalable solutions built around Linux platforms. The company will also offer application services, migration & upgrade services, desktop services and enterprise management services and consultancy to Linux customers, said a Wipro Infotech press release. Mr T.D. Thandava Murthy, Chief Executive, Wipro Services, said, "Wipro's services offerings will now be a one-stop shop for all customers, irrespective of the operating environment they use. Our expertise in the operating systems environment cuts across platforms and Linux customers can now avail better Systems Integration right through EAI." Mr Javed Tapia, Director, Red Hat India, said, "The growing spread of Red Hat Enterprise Linux in the Indian market has created a tremendous demand for professional consulting services. Almost every enterprise today is evaluating a Linux strategy. With this partnership, we will be able to expand our consulting & professional services capabilities required for assisting enterprises in incorporating Red Hat Enterprise Linux into their infrastructure."
