Kian launches lifestyle store in Mulund

Mumbai , March 7

KIAN Furnitures, the Malaysian furniture brand, has opened a lifestyle store in Mumbai at Nirmal Lifestyle, Mulund.

To strengthen its presence in India, Kian is trying to build powerful partnerships through franchisees.

Kian is hoping to expand its presence by opening about eight independent Kian showrooms by the end of 2005.

According to Ms Namrata Duggar, Managing Director, Kian Furniture Private Ltd, "Mulund is fast becoming one of Mumbai's preferred destination for furniture shopping, and since Kian is a brand that caters to lifestyle furniture, it makes perfect sense to be present there."

The 11,000 sq ft outlet houses Kian's contemporary and stylish furniture designs at appealing prices. The company also provides `contract furniture' or furniture for cafés, bistros, restaurants, hotels and corporate furniture. The company plans to cater to hospitals, libraries, auditoriums and hostels — a niche market that has a tremendous potential.

The Kian Group has a network of Kian and partner factories in China, Indonesia and Malaysia and also sources furniture from partners and designers in Europe.
