Maruti to set up driving schools

Our Bureau

NEW DELHI: Maruti Udyog Ltd will be setting up driving schools across the country as part of its commitment to road safety. These Maruti Driving Schools (MDS) will be modelled on international lines, where classroom training, practical training and training in road behaviour will be imparted.

The schools will also be equipped with world-class simulators to help learners familiarise themselves with the controls of the car before they take the actual vehicle on the road.

The MDS will be set up in partnership with Maruti dealerships, which will manage the schools. The first of the MDS will come up in Bangalore, followed by Kollam (in Kerala) and Chandigarh by March-end.
