Kottayam , March 21

RE_ENTRYof the covering groups and purchase agents helped the market to recover partially on Monday.

The main marketing centres continued to experience severe scarcity of the raw material and the buyers seemed to be chasing the narrow arrivals.

The futures market was weak except for its April contract, which was quoted slightly better at Rs 56.85, against Rs 56.70 a kg. The May contract was quoted at Rs 58.45 (Rs 58.75), June at Rs 59.65 (Rs 60.01) and July contract at Rs 60.80 (Rs 60.95) per kg for RSS 4.

The physical rubber rates per kg were: RSS-4 Rs 55.25 (Rs 55); RSS-5 Rs 54.25 (Rs 54); ungraded Rs 53.25 (Rs 53); ISNR 20 Rs 54.00 (Rs 53.50); and latex 60% Rs 40 (Rs 40).
