Security Juniper targets Wi-Fi, security applications V. Rishi Kumar
Hyderabad , April 1 JUNIPER Networks, a networking and security solutions provider, has forayed into wireless security, targeting the growing market for Wi-Fi and wireless LAN (local area network) applications. The Country Manager of Juniper Networks, India, SAARC, Mr Java Giridhar, told Business Line that globally chief information officers (CIOs) are facing the challenge of managing enterprise security. The growing adoption of wireless networks has added to the CIOs problems of providing security for its wireless users, be it in Wi-Fi zones or in a LAN environment. "Juniper's acquisition of NetScreen and a suite of security solutions has helped establish presence in the security segment," Mr Giridhar said Juniper R&D team in China have developed a platform that integrates all enterprise applications while providing security for wireless users. Various telecom service providers in India, like their counterparts in other markets and enterprises, are taking to wireless security applications. India, China and Asia Pacific have emerged as major markets for wireless connectivity.
