The Hindu Business Line : TIBCO Soft to expand Pune centre

US-based business integration software company TIBCO Software Inc has announced plans to expand its Pune facility and said it would scale up the development headcount in the country to 150 professionals by the year-end.

The Pune development centre currently houses 35 people and is focused on product development, support, professional services and in developing offshore-onsite capabilities. The centre works on the entire cycle of product development from testing, support and packaging to release management.

"A low-cost labour arbitrage model in itself cannot deliver a sustained competitive advantage, therefore one needs to build significant intellectual property (IP) base. In our Pune centre, professionals work on cutting edge technologies," Mr Ram Menon, Senior Vice-President - Worldwide Marketing, TIBCO Software Inc, said at a conference here.
