Ikian Furnitures plans 10 stores in two years

THE Bangalore-based Ikian Furnitures Pvt Ltd plans to open 10 Kian stores in two years, Mr Ramesh Dugar, CEO, Ikian Furnitures, has said.

Currently, the company has a store each in Bangalore, Mumbai and now Chennai. It has invested about $1.5 million in these stores.

Ikian Furnitures imports furniture from Malaysia and China and showcases a large range of contemporary and colonial furniture. Mr Dugar said that the company plans to develop Kian as a furniture brand for the Indian market.

Ms Namrata Dugar, Managing Director, speaking at the opening of the new store heresaid that a range of residential and contract furniture along with accessories such as soft furnishing, crockery and vases were on show.

The company also has a large range of furniture solutions for cafes, bistros, restaurants, hotels and corporates.

Mr Dugar said that in the long-term the company was thinking of manufacturing in India.
