Bank credit up Rs 28,409 cr

Mumbai , April 9

BANK credit increased Rs 28,409 crore for the week ended March 25 to touch Rs 10,92,008 crore, according to the Reserve Bank of India's Weekly Statistical Supplement.

This includes food credit, which increased Rs 418 crore to Rs 41,553 crore, and non-food credit, which increased Rs 27,991 to Rs 10,50,455 crore.

Loans and advances to the State Governments increased Rs 1,229 crore for the week under review.
