The State Bank of Travancore Staff Union has held protest demonstrations in front of all the zonal offices demanding suspension of the bank's core banking operations.

The bank's transactions have been badly affected by glitches in the core banking system that has been implemented in around 100 branches. The union has alleged that the system has been introduced "in a hurry".
