Rubber declines on panic selling

Kottayam , April 11

PANIC selling by dealers and traders continued to depress the spot rubber rates on Monday.

Bearish signals from the overseas markets dampened the sentiments further.

NMCE rubber futures quoted lower except for its April contract which was steady at Rs 57 (57) a kg.

The May contract was traded at Rs 59 (59.50), June at Rs 61.10 (61.47) and July at Rs 62.20 (62.59) per kg for RSS 4.

The spot rubber rates per kg on Monday were: RSS-4: 57.00 (57.25) RSS-5: 55.50 (56.25); ungraded: 55.00 (55.50) ISNR 20: 55.25 (55.75) and latex 60%: 39.50 (40.00)
