German biotech team to take part in Bangalore Bio 2005

AN eight-member German delegation will be arriving in India to participate in the forthcoming Bangalore Bio 2005.
The delegation has been organised by the International Technology Cooperation Network, which is sponsored by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Labour, (BMWA) Government of Germany, and is implemented by the Federation of Industrial Research Organisations. Mr Heinz Kopp, Consul-General, will be the guest of honour and representatives from the research and industry will give presentations at the Indo-German business forum to be held on the April 23. The delegation includes companies such as Biobase, Institut für Pharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Biology, 3A strategy, MWG, Deutsche Messe AG and the Fraunhofer Institute of Clinical Immunology and Cell Therapy.
Ms Anandi Iyer, Advisor International Technology Cooperation Network said, "The presence of such a large biotech delegation from Germany, particularly with leading names such as the Fraunhofer Foundation, MWG, Biobase underline the strong interest of the German biotech industry to partner with India.
Bangalore Bio, the fifth edition of the tradeshow, is promoted by the Government of Karnataka, India and the Vision Group on Biotechnology. The event provides a networking opportunity for technologists, entrepreneurs and scientists in Bangalore Bio 2005, to showcase their research capabilities, products and services.
