Sonata Q4 net rises to Rs 4.5 cr

SONATA Software has recorded Rs 97 crore revenue for 2004-05, a 39-per cent rise over the previous year, with net profit of Rs 16.4 crore, a 44-per cent rise .

The company has raised the final dividend to 35 per cent. Sequentially, Sonata's fourth quarter revenues rose 7 per cent to Rs 27 crore netting profit of Rs 4.5 crore. Revenues and profits in the corresponding quarter in the previous fiscal were Rs 19.4 crore and Rs 3.3 crore respectively.

Consolidated revenues for the year-ended March 31, 2005, were Rs 329.3 crore (Rs 222.2 crore).

"Growth during the year is a vindication of the partnership model the company has pursued in the past couple of years, and we will continue in the same model," said Mr B. Ramaswamy, President and MD.
