New Delhi , April 30 THE Union Minister of Law and Justice, Mr H.R. Bharadwaj, said that e-governance of judicial system will be fully implemented in a couple of year's time. Addressing the national conference on Judicio-Legal Reforms organised by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry here on Saturday, the Minister said the Government has allocated money to computerise and link all courts to the Supreme Court. "All the courts, from district-level to Supreme Court, are to be linked by computer in three to four years. Already progress has been made in linking the courts from taluk to district levels," he said. Talking about the Government's initiatives to improve and modernise infrastructure of courts at the State level, he said that allocations to the tune of Rs 800 crore under the Centrally-sponsored scheme has been made to the States to improve infrastructure. Talking about the enormity of pending cases lying in the courts today, the Law Minster said that the Alternative Dispute Resolution mechanism should effectively tackle this problem and the industry has a major role in this regard, he said. "The movement of ADR is spreading in piecemeal. This has to be spread all over the country and each State should set up the system which can sort out cases through arbitration and conciliation," he stressed. Mr Bharadwaj has invited the participation of the Bar Association of India to give suggestions on how to improve the system. He also said that the Government is planning to set up a committee, which will look into all litigation and screen them as to whether the cases should go for appeal.
