Staff suggestions help BHEL

NEW DELHI: Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd has saved about Rs 40 crore during the last fiscal by implementing various suggestions received from its employees.

The company has achieved significant savings of nearly Rs 40 crore during 2004-05 due to implementation of these suggestions, it said in a statement. During the year, more than 57,000 suggestions were given by employees, out of which 20,000 were found to be viable and accepted.
