Alliances & Joint Ventures Fujitsu, ZTE in collaboration Our Bureau
Bangalore , May 8 FUJITSU Microelectronics Asia Pte Ltd, a leader in complex system-on-chip development and a pioneer in the development of WiMAX broadband wireless access semiconductor technology, and ZTE Corporation, the largest listed telecommunications systems supplier in China, have announced that ZTE is working with Fujitsu to deploy its WiMAX-certifiable equipment based on Fujitsu's integrated WiMAX SoC, the MB87M3400. The two companies have been collaborating to develop base station and subscriber station equipment that complies with the 802.16-2004 fixed WiMAX specifications. Fujitsu and ZTE will complete the full bring-up and implementation of ZTE's WiMAX compliant systems. Fujitsu's WiMAX system-on-chip is a high-performance, highly integrated MB87M3400 SoC that incorporates embedded processor and mixed signal technology. It is the cornerstone for bringing the first wave of WiMAX-certified products to cost-effective deployment in 2005.
